Purpose
Report960 is a tool for reviewing police reports authored in the course of lawful law-enforcement work in California. It is not a general-purpose AI assistant.
You must
- Use the service only for reports you are authorized to author or review.
- Keep your badge credentials confidential and use only your own account.
- Review every AI-generated finding before acting on it. The officer is always responsible for the final report.
- Proofread dictated audio and photographed field notes after transcription. Transcription is verbatim capture, not drafting, and can misrecognize names, codes, and numbers.
- Complete the officer review attestation truthfully before exporting a report, and re-attest after any later edit.
- Comply with your agency's policies on record-keeping, evidence handling, and public disclosure.
Department administrators must
- Assign seats only to personnel authorized by the department, and revoke seats promptly when someone leaves or changes assignment.
- Treat department-wide report access and audit logs as agency records, and review them only for legitimate supervisory, training, or compliance purposes.
You must not
- Share your account, badge, or session token with any other person.
- Upload content unrelated to a legitimate law-enforcement matter.
- Record or photograph people, screens, or documents you are not authorized to capture, and do not dictate over an open microphone in a setting where restricted information may be picked up.
- Attempt to defeat or work around single-session enforcement or per-seat credit caps.
- Use the service to author reports designed to mislead a court, prosecutor, or oversight body.
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the underlying model or training data.
Enforcement
Violations may result in immediate account suspension, notification of your agency, and - where appropriate - referral to your agency's internal affairs or a relevant oversight body.
